Metabolics is currently studying murine models to research the intersection of metabolism and disease. With the advent of new prodrugs over the past several years there is great potential to build on past research that was limited\n by the bio toxicity of previous approaches. Modern prodrugs potentially have the ability to extend the benefit of previously studied compounds while greatly limiting their side effects. \n
\n
This is potentially a very exciting advancement in key metabolic treatments that were previously abandoned for being too toxic and challenging to implement. Human clinical trials on several prodrugs are currently active but there\n remains a large volume of study to be done. \n
\n
While working on several other topics related to energy production at the cellular level, this is the current focus of Metabolics.<\/p>\n
